What's inside Epic Universe Super Nintendo World
Universal Orlando Resort on May 2 released details about the interactive installation Super Nintendo World, which will debut at Epic Universe theme park in 2025 along with four other imaginative worlds: Harry Potter World, How to Train Your Dragon, Dark Universe and Celestial Park.
Inside Super Nintendo World will be two distinct territories: Super Mario Land and Donkey Kong Country. Super Nintendo World land will bring to life the Nintendo video game characters of Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach. Donkey King Country features Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong.
An augmented-reality game called Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, which will have guests join Team Mario to battle Team Bowser for the Golden Cup.
A Yoshi’s Adventure attraction will appear in the U.S. for the first time. It’s not included at Universal Studios Hollywood where Super Nintendo Land has another outpost. The family friendly ride is designed to offer great views of the park.
Toadstool Cafe will feature dishes inspired by Super Mario and its characters, including Mario and Luigi-themed burgers, Super Mushroom Soup, Piranha Plant Caprese, Fire Flower Spaghetti & Meatballs and more. Guests also will get virtual views of toads preparing food.
Yoshi’s Snack Island and Turbo Boost Treats will be walk-up dining spots. There also will be souvenir shops and meet-and-greet opportunities in Super Mario Land.
