BEA Architects to design Port Canaveral's next terminal

The Canaveral Port  Authority Board of Commissioners at its Aug. 21 meeting will decide whether or not it approves a contract and fee for Miami-based BEA Architects Inc. to design Port Canaveral’s future Terminal 7. 

The board’s request for proposals for architecture, engineering, design and permitting elicited four submissions: BEA, Bermello Ajamil & Partners LLC of Coral Gables, Arquitectonica of Miami and The Haskell Co. of Jacksonville. After each presented and the committee reviewed and deliberated, it ranked them in that order, with BEA at the top.  

Committee member Bill Cowe at a July 16 board meeting introduced the firm’s Principal in Charge Bruno Elias-Ramos, saying, "The committee of six, mostly, almost unanimously recommended Bruno and BEA as the desired consultant."
