Miami fintech Biller Genie opens 2nd HQ in Orlando
After securing $5 million in a series A investment in 2022, company spokeswoman Lucia Gonzaleztold Miami Inno that Biller Genie would look for office space in Orlando. Now, the space has been found.
Since September, 23 of Biller Genie’s 35 staffers have been working out of a 4,000-square-foot office at 7680 Universal Blvd. President and Co-founder Garima Shah said it's a second headquarters. Shah, a Windermere resident, was chosen as one of Orlando Business Journal's 2021 CEOs of the Year.
“The pandemic hit right after we launched, as soon as we started getting traction, so we hired an almost all-remote staff,” said Shah. "When we started collecting ourselves and trying to figure out where we needed to be, we found that the talent in Orlando is so much richer, and we've been able to find great candidates from various technical companies because we've got such a big tech scene here.”
