Full Sail grad gets a Grammy for Christian album

Full Sail University students gathered Feb. 2 at the college’s venue Full Sail Live for a viewing party to celebrate alumni honored at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards. 

Dominique Jones, known professionally as DOE and a 2012 music business and 2015 creative writing graduate, secured the Best Contemporary Christian Music Album award for her solo project, "Heart of a Human." 

She told Orlando Business Journal the classes leading to her bachelor of arts in music business and creative writing helped her become a well-rounded music artist.

"I learned how to create a website, I took a course on entertainment law and I learned how to advocate for myself when necessary," she said. "My time in the creative writing program stretched me as a writer. I felt more confident and present when writing descriptive lyrical content."
