Orlando restaurant Bloodhound Brew to close this month

Bloodhound Brew — a restaurant and bar at the corner of Conroy Road and South Kirkman Road — will close this month.

Co-owner Gavin Patel said he and his business partner and family member Jay Dudhiya accepted a buy-out offer on their lease months ago, but waited to make a public announcement until they had a chance to first inform their staff and the entertainers appearing almost nightly at the venue.

“The sale of the property wasn’t a surprise,” said Patel. “The owner — who was the original Bloodhound Brew operator and from whom we bought the business — has been trying to sell the property for years. We tried to buy it a couple of years ago, but the selling price was significantly more than what the property was worth. Then we thought, if he sells it, we'll just pay the rent to somebody else and keep going. But they have other plans for the place.”
