SeaWorld gets new Arctic flying theater ride

SeaWorld Orlando announced a new Arctic flying theater ride in a Sept. 19 news release, promising an immersive experience unlike other rides in the category.

Riders will have close encounters with beluga whales, orcas and walruses, among other Artic animals. The 4:30-minute experience takes riders on underwater adventures, over icy landscapes and into the sky to the Aurora Borealis.

To encourage annual passholder sales, the theme park is offering earliest access to 2025 pass members.

SeaWorld’s production team used filming equipment specifically made to capture visuals of remote parts of the Arctic. Many of the places filmed are typically inaccessible to tourists, making the ride the one place people are likely to see these areas.
