Immerse festival returns to downtown Orlando
Creative City Project has announced the return of the Immerse festival for its 10th iteration in downtown Orlando from Feb. 21-23, 2025.
The festival will feature a wide range of performances and installations across 10 city blocks, transforming the downtown entertainment area into a massive theater, concert venue and visual art gallery, according to a Dec. 11 news release.
The event's founder, Cole NeSmith, was inspired by his experience at the Fallas de Valencia festival in Spain, where large, intricate statues are paraded through the city and then set ablaze. He told Orlando Business Journal that while in Spain, he was struck by the priority placed on cultural expression, thinking, "We do not do this stuff in America, but we absolutely should."
