IAP Worldwide Services wins $8.5M add-on to Navy contract

Cape Canaveral-based IAP Worldwide Services Inc. has landed an $8.5 million addition to an existing contract with the Navy that was awarded in 2017, boosting the total contract value to $55 million to date, according to the U.S. Department of Defense. The contract’s ceiling is $63.7 million. 

Executives with IAP Worldwide could not be reached for comment. 

The contract is for housekeeping services at the U.S. Naval Support Activity Souda Bay in Crete, Greece. The Department of Defense allocates significant funds for global housekeeping, having spent $62 billion on the service to date. In 2022 alone, $6 billion was spent on housekeeping. So far in 2023, more than $3.5 billion has gone to housekeeping, according to HigerGov.com, a website that tracks military spending.
