Disney property hotels announce $275M renovation, expansion

The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels are undergoing a major renovation and expansion, the largest in the property's history, according to an Oct. 30 news release. 

A key figure in the expansion — beyond the $275 million investment it will take — is the 120,000 square-foot event space expansion. 

Given Visit Orlando’s Oct. 10 report showing hotel bookings for citywide conventions are pacing ahead of goals for 2024 through 2026 — plus June’s announcement from Walt Disney Co. that plans have finalized to invest $8.5 billion in Orlando — the ownership group’s updates and expansions for the Swan and Dolphin add up.
