Six-figure donation announced at huge simulation conference

Bethesda, Maryland-based Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has announced a donation of $315,000 to Rebuilding Together, a national nonprofit in safe and healthy housing. One of the programs to benefit is Veterans at Home, which provides no-cost preventive home modifications and repairs for veterans and their families to improve safety and accessibility and increase independence. 

The Nov. 29 announcement came during the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference in Orlando, running from Nov. 27 to Dec. 1 at the Orange County Convention Center — the largest event of its kind in the world. 

Training & Logistics Solutions Vice President Rich Benton presented the check to José García, executive director of Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay & Central Florida. Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer was on hand to offer comments.
